I called WUB and they are sending out a new pair of roundnose with an envelope to return the old ones. They were really, really nice and apologetic. I felt bad even saying anything, but I have concluded that I just can't use these. Hopefully the next pair will be more representative of the product.

I got the new pliers very quickly and they are much better I'm really impressed with WUB's customer service. They sent me a post paid padded envelope to send the pliers back in.

I just wanted to know what happened regarding your Wubbers, Tela. I think customer satisfaction is more important than sales to Patty, so I hope you got a replacement. My Baby Wubbers are so wonderful, I want you to have the same enjoyment using yours that I have with mine. I still give them my highest recommendation.

Yup, I did. Patti was wonderful! She promptly sent out a new pair and a post paid envelope for the old pair. The new ones are much, much better. I hope someone is held accountable for letting the other pair through. They should not have been sold. I know a few things about quality control and the original pair should not have passed. I hope Patti addresses the manufacturer. She has a real good name going with these Wubbers and I'd hate to see it mucked up.

I'm resolved to get the Baby Wubbers Round Nose pliers from WUB, and maybe one or two other pliers. I am still hesitating for several reasons, one being your experience, Tela. It's good to know that they send a replacement immediately, but sending to and from Germany is much more expensive. And I really don't want the trouble, perhaps even with customs involved. So now I wonder if I should mention what happened to you, or should I just hope that the quality control is now working perfectly? ;-) Any advice?

Renate, I would call them to place your order and just say you are really picky about your tools and would hate to have a problem with a tool due to the shipping issues. Patti actually took my call when I called and she was awesome.

Wubbers! Thank you, shiny. I knew there was a brand with funny name , but couldn't think of it. I have heard good things about it and that it is not too expensive. I know Lindstrom, Tronex, and then there is supposed to be an Italian company with excellent tools at moderate prices. Dear Sir/madam we are manufacturers and exporters of high quality jewelry making tools(round nose-chain nose-flat nose pliers)and want to sell them to you directly pls let me know, waiting, ahmed

If you're talking about jewelry I know where you can buy used jewelry and even online. Very useful but anyway you better see it yourself to not be bummed.
