Any recommended suppliers with decent EU shipping prices? I'd like to buy 0.8mm for earwires.

I really did not see that link thanks. the website looks ugly, to be honest.. 1 meter costs 7.14 gbp there .. can't see if it's soft or half hard (I probably need half hard or hard?) at cooksongold.com 1 meter today costs 5.89 gbp ... just tried to register to get shipping price and they say they manually verify all users and they'll approve me in 48 hours. Wow. That's crazy.

Hi Laura! Im back!! Im with you, the website does look ugly!! but they are very fast at shipping and their wires are good quality. Did you manage to get what you want? I can call them for you if you need anything clarified? Wires.co.uk have good prices. the website is extremely user unfriendly and their brass and sterling wires are hard as hell. apart from that, they have a huge selection on every wire type you may ever need (silk covered wires, craft wires in many colours, titanium...) cooksons are expensive. An UK based friend told me it was cheaper for her to order from Riogrande (shipping included) than from cookson and they are in the UK. Go figure! There are a couple of suppliers in Germany and in Spain as well, but their prices are high and their wire selection is small. Not recommending them. And then there is this website in Poland, I wish I could speal that language to really know all the details. www.hopea.pl/If I remember any other shops, I'll let you know

Glenda - thanks I've got a local contact of someone who can "make" silver wire, will try to call when things settle down a bit (offtopic life problems, search for wire is put on hold now). I'm starting to get the feeling that when buying just a couple of meters of wire, the shipping will be too expensive from just about anywhere.. they'll probably refuse to ship by plain unregistered airmail. Janaita - I do speak Polish, but reading is difficult, especially when it's something as specific as wire-language... As far as I understand, the international payments are by bank transfer only - which alone makes it very expensive (for me international bank transfers cost about 12eur)
