Hi there! I'm Sarah, and I'm an American living in the Midwest. My jewelry work incorporates a little bit of everything. Soldering, forging, wire work, bead embroidery, and chain maille. If there's an underlying theme in my work, it's definitely sequins! They're beautiful, versatile, and just plain fun. I have a blog, Saturday Sequins, where I share my work, my thoughts on the creative life, showcase the work of other talented artists, and occasionally do tutorials and giveaways. SaturdaySequins.comIn my spare time, I write articles for the Daily Muse, write fiction, hula hoop, and spend time with my friends and spouse. Nice to meet you all! Attachments:

Greetings from sandy country So good to see you here and what a great introduction! I love sequins, too and bought a bunch once, but I could never figure out what to do with them other than some earrings. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful work.

Tela -- the Beading Gem has a great series of posts on how to use sequins in your work. www.beadinggem.com/2010/06/how-to-use-sequins-in-your-jewelry.htmlJust in case you have any sequins left over! Kay -- Thanks! I wish they still made those pretty colored rubber rings. They're so much fun to work with. Thanks for the warm welcome, you two! I'm glad I found this forum.

Sarah - The Ring Lord has some colored rubber rings. Is that what you are talking about?

Kate,
The ones I used to get came from Blue Buddha Boutique -- Rebeca, the owner, noticed that her supplier's quality had gone down hill, and so she discontinued them. Which was a smart decision, but I miss those rings!
I've used the Ring Lord's rings before, and I do like them. They don't come in the small size I need for some of my pieces, though.
