Anyone try it? I am thinking t is too hard for me, but I really want to try it. I love the look especially for a man. Beadaholique has some. Anyone else?

I noticed FDJ has it too. They aren't too far from me but I just haven't been there yet since we've been back in Florida. I've done some chain maille with it and love it. The first s.s. jump rings I ordered I couldn't use. That was a supplier in Canada. I just couldn't work with them. The next two orders from Blue Buddha were much easier but still had to use big pliers that my hubby grinded down for me. When I get back from our cruise, I'll take a ride to FDJ and see what they have. I've been curious too!

I went ahead and ordered some from FDJ. I'll post what I make with it and my thoughts on using it. Also found a plug for my mini Speedbrite at fdj

I got the wire. Hmmm..... I'm not real sure what to think. It behaves a lot like 1/2 h silver, but looks very dark. It doesn't look dark in the roll, though. Maybe it is because my test piece is dark. I'll post a picture later today. I'll have to find good uses for it because I got quite a bit to play with.

Ok, here's my thoughts on it: I don't care much for it. I like the look, but it work hardens real fast and is about what I would call 3/4 hard silver, if you can imagine that. I have worked with only 26 and 22 round and square and they are quite hard. I will be using it up- like I said, I like the way it looks, just not crazy about the hardness. Doing coiling with 26g was a bit of a challenge as it had some spring to it. Also, I got the Beadalon brand and the square was not very smooth. It had many sections where the wire was rough- and that just will not do.

Tela, your end result with the wire is outstanding! It does sound difficult to work with and too hard for my hands. I will enjoy looking at your piece rather than trying the wire myself. Thanks for your opinions on it!

Yeah, I might have to be more careful with my hands than some people, but for anyone with issues with carpel tunnel or whatever, stainless steel is probably not going to be your favorite metal.

Tela, your pieces in stainless steel are stunning. I'm not sure if I'm ready to work with that yet (other than chain maille) due to it work hardening so fast. Being newer, I'm at times wrapping and rewrapping. ;-(

Kate, I had to rebend at the top of the first one because I messed up my aim and it was really hard after the one bundle bend. It was kinda messy to straighten up, too. So, yeah, I don't think it's great if you know you'll have to rework something.
