I got a torch and started playing. I fused the copper frame for the hummingbird and used AB delicas and a crystal to "flesh" him out. I tried a hummingbird before I got the torch and the beak was a huge problem with folded 18g wire- it was just too big. With the torch, I was able to fuse the fold and file down a shape. The frame is fused closed at the tail. It was a neat job, but you can't see it because my beading wires began and stopped there. This was my first project with the torch. I did a nice heart, too. I can see more playtime in the future. ;D Attachments:

He is lovely. The beak is perfect. Filed to perfection!!
I need more time in the day!!!

Thanks for the link Tela. I have forwarded it to my other half!! He can take a look and see if it is better than mine. Mine has such a long flame!!
