While I'm waiting for the mail to bring me cool new tools, I thought I would revisit this wrap. I still have plans to do a tute in the not too distant future. This time I used silver and worked in a balled wire, so I could do a woven bail. This is an incredible ammolite doublet. between the wrap and the deep quartz cap, this looks super deep with mad flashing color. Attachments:

Just finished up another. This is a pendant bead, something you rarely see me use, not because I don't like them, but because I'm not sure what to do with them. This is a chatoyant Norwegian moonstone with labradorite beads and Japanese seed beads. This is in copper. I made the fused copper form on the front. I'm just playing with other ways to use the wrap as I sort how I want to do the tute. Attachments:

Beautiful! I love the contrast of the copper with the colors in the stone.

Thanks! I'm getting ready to start the tute, but first I have to wear gloves and lotion for awhile so as not to gross anyone out with close ups of my beaten up hands. Filing really does a number on my hands!! I need to get a bench pin!

This is the stone I'll be using for the tute. I love these picture jaspers! This setting is getting ready to be cut off. I'll start fresh with the camera. Think I'll use different beads next time, too. Attachments:

Cut off?!! You Barbarian!! ;D Looking forward to the Tut. Talking of hands. I am half way through a Tut. The first half was photographed while I had my false nails on. They are now well and truly gone and my real nails have been destroyed!! ;D As soon as I get the time I am getting it finished, can't worry about my hands!! ;D

If my finger tips weren't so darn bad, I wouldn't care. I'm getting it done one way or another

Tela and Glenda, I am so happy you both are working on tutorials. When I see hands in a tutorial, I don't really focus on the nails or the roughness, etc. What I focus on is how they are manipulating the wire. These hands have strength and artistry and look what they can create. Look what these hands of my friends and mentors are teaching me. They are beautiful!

Awww, thank you! I really needed to hear that. I got my hands looking all moist and young and started working on the tute. Halfway through, they were dried up and peely looking. I chose not to stop. I have working, whatayagonnado? LOL! I should have this finished today to the point where I can sleep on it tonight and proof it again tomorrow sometime. One gets sick of looking at it and has to have that good mental break to look it over again.
