As a buyer of tutes, I prefer to buy from the artists, too.
Thank you everyone who has bought from the store. I'm really glad the software has been problem free, too.
Lee Ann I just saw the piece on FB. Great colors and you did a fab job! I see what you mean about the beads. What size did you use? You may have needed to put a bend in the wire to accommodate the larger beads- if you know what I mean. Let me know the bead size and I'll see if I can help.
To upload a picture just use the attachment button below the title of the message. Find the file on your computer (not too big, though, we don't have much space here) and then when you post your post, the picture will show up.

I wondered what that screaming was I heard Now I know it is Glenda's kids. They will be fine...enjoy the tutorial! I am excited to see your creations from this gem. I too prefer to buy tutorials from the artists when I can find them. It feels good knowing they get full price although I do understand JL needing to make money.

Thanks Tela, The seed beads are a 11/0 metal bead. Thats all I know. I dont usually use them. I do think some of my issues may be due to the size of the bead and the size of the hole. The beads do move around on the wire a bit. I think I know what you mean about bending the wire. I prob tried to pull the wire too tight rather than placing it where it needed to be. I think I was lucky not to have broken it when I did the pendant anyway. I am going to redo it so please offer any suggestions /help . Even if I need to use another beads. I did even think about using a small coil ? Thanks Lee-Ann ( Glenda can I lock up my kids with your kids ?)

Grandchildren are loud, too. I feel like I have been transported back in time to when mine were young. One of us needs an older child to babysit the whole lot of them! LOL!

Tela, I LOVE this tut! I have even figured out a way for me to use my steep sided cabs with this tut. If I get it finished a little bit more, and get a decent picture (dread), I will post it!! Ido LOVE this tut, though, it is so perfect and such a complete surprise to me how it works. Great job!

I worked on the pendant yesterday, too. What fun it was. I just finished it up with LOS this morning and took a quick picture to post. I just ran and took the back, too. I had trouble with the seed beads getting them aligned right and then trouble wrapping the bail. It is messy! I just couldn't get that right yesterday. I also attempted the weaved bail and the stone popped out when I put the third wire in resulting in having to restring the seed beads again. That part was frustrating. The wrap feels sturdy but I have a feeling with pressure the stone will pop out. I am going to redo the whole pendant and bring the wire in just a bit more. Thanks, Tela, for the wonderful tutorial. As always, it was easy to understand and the pictures were clear. There was no need for guesswork! Attachments:

This is a picture of the back. I feel silly, I haven't figured out how to post more that one pic. I also want to ask, when I bought this stone was called a blue onyx gemstone. Gemstones are a mystery to me. When I researched it, I thought this looked like a blue agate onyx. Does anyone know? Attachments:

Great work Kate! What a treat to see on a Monday morning. Love the colors! Sorry you had trouble with it, though. The key is to make sure the wire comes in enough, but you already figured that. I love this wrap. Once you figure it out, you can do them real quick and it is adaptable to so many stones. Glad you stuck to it. After the trouble with the first one, you shouldn't have any more problems.
