After a bit of a disastrous first attempt I am quite pleased with Whinston the 'wise old owl'!. That said I'm sure any expert in the field can see lots of places for improvement!! CC is very welcome!! I really enjoyed making him. I think because he wasn't repetitive like the bracelet. I loved watching him form as I went along too! Lots of free macrame patterns and great advice here www.free-macrame-patterns.com/micro-macrame.html

Your Churchowl Whinston is adorable! Irresistible how he holds on for dear life to the branch he's sitting on!

Hi Glenda, He is so very cute. I love it that you can weave let alone make something so cute with it. I will definitely leave the Micro Macrame to you. If you need some more critter inspiration to try I would love to see a Unicorn!! Lee-Ann

Thanks everyone!! Renate hadn't noticed, but yes he does look like he is holding on for dear life! ;D A unicorn!!! Hmmm, well at this stage of my learning there is no way I can make up a pattern so I will have to keep my eyes open for one!! Glad he gave you a smile Kate!

He's so cute! I love his little fringe tail and his feet grabbing onto the branch. I heard somewhere that owls have an amazing grip, so holding on for dear life would be accurate.
