Here is one artist extraordinaire, Sabine Lippert, who creates outstanding designs for beaded beads and other jewelry. For me, they are the most beautiful ever. Her site is bi-lingual, and the tutorials are available in German and English, too. trytobead.com/

Such beautiful and ornate beaded designs. The color in each piece is stunning.

They certainly are stunning! Thanks for the links. I have the free tut and I can see my carpet is going to be covered in beads again very soon!!

Hello and welcome, Susan Marie! ;-) I agree, this artist has an outstanding sense of colour. Glenda, how well do I know the carpet problem. I cannot count how often have I been down on my knees, picking up seed beads, sometimes with the help of cello(?) tape. Do you have a beading mat? If not, they are inexpensive, and very very useful. My present favourite is the Palazzo Foscari bracelet: www.trytobead.de/index.php?id=173And the Babylon bracelet, too: www.trytobead.de/index.php?id=313

Yep 'Cellotape'! Actually, I do have a beading mat, bought it a while back for 'just in case'! Thanks for the reminder, will have to look it out!!!
Ooooh the Palazzo Foscari is gorgeous, I think its the colours that do it for me!
Way ahead of my abilities at the moment though. I may have a go at the bling ring, might be able to cope with that!!

Glenda- if I could make the bling ring then I know you can! I did it when I was even more bead challenged. I messed up a little but it came out great. Attachments:

'Bead challenged' - I like that!! ha ha
Same old story not sure if I have the right size beads - and how on earth can you tell what size they are once you have taken them out of their packets, dropped them over the floor a few times and then bundled them in a pot?!!! Think I will check out the Tut now as I have to go out later for braid. May have to add a few more packets of beads to the list!! YAY!

I have gotten several bead soup mixes where the sizes were mixed up. I was only able to sort them by their relative sizes. I think I got them all right, though.

Sabine's work is outstanding! I had not seen it before. Makes me want to turn back to beads. Her cuff bracelet is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing this artist. I downloaded her free ring, it looks like a versatile piece.

Ok . . . I am not doing well with these links! I hope this one comes out right! Here is the tutorial I purchased form this Sabine's site: www.trytobead.com/index.php?id=186I have not really gotten started...well, I started it, but was having some difficulties but I think I figured it out and put it down about 2 or 3 weeks ago.. This is another free pattern offered www.trytobead.com/index.php?id=227What an artist!

Kit, I see you managed to re-edit the links beautifully. ;-)
(for everybody else: to post a link just copy the link whereever it is and paste it here - nothing else required!)
I've got the tutorials for two of her bracelets (and her free tutorials of course), but haven't found the right beads and the patience/time yet.

Thank you, Kit- That paid tute looks just like bumpy lampwork beads. How clever AND beautiful!
