I have been so busy with the blog and Ruby Plaza that I haven't had much time to spend here. I cut my finger pretty good yesterday. My most often used finger, too. My left pointer. It is on the cuticle, but the bandage is right where it gets in my way while working. I posted all my latest stuff on the blog today. telaformosa.blogspot.com/2012/03/show-and-tell.htmlI need a new project to keep me busy now that the blog contest is over. Maybe I'll take up some weaving.... One of these days I'm sure I will be at least proficient at it. I see it as a weak spot.

Tela, you seem to have boundless energy! Doesn't making all that beautiful jewelry keep you busy enough?
Weaving is on my to-learn list. I think it can add another dimension to my jewelry.

Beautiful pieces!!! Sorry about your finger. I hate when stuff like that gets in the way. Of course I'm a klutz and it's usually my own fault.

I have been "waiting for approval" of the admin to join this forum for several days. Is there anything I need to do to be accepted?

I would like to suggest a "General" thread. I know my question doesn't belong here but I found nowhere else that was more appropriate. Question: What is the biggest obstacle getting young kids,5 yr. old and up, into jewelry making. Is the dexterity a problem Is the use of tools a problem Are the size of the parts a problem Is the lack of creativity a problem, trying to create a design. Is lack of interest a problem To all the jewelry makers out there, do you feel you would like to encourage your children to get into the craft? If so what do you think a good age would be? Thanks
