Here's a fun site, there's an annual "International The Ugly Necklace Contest, 2012". An excerpt from their rules:
"... distinguished Beadwork and Jewelry Artist instructors will judge based on the hideousness of the necklace ..... how well the artist has shown an understanding of good design principles (and how to violate them) to achieve this "Ugly" end, and the quality of the accompanying poem."
It sounds like fun, don't you think? Would you participate?
The deadline for 2012 is over, but I'm very curious for the results which should be published soon.

OMG! Those are some ugly necklaces! LOL! It does look like fun. I don't know if I would do it, though. It would depend on if I had the time to do it, I guess.
