We are heading off for a long weekend break (5hrs drive) in the morning and currently stress levels are high!!! I'm wondering if it is only our household that experiences the last minute cramming of things causing stress levels to read off the meter?? Moving house is said to be one of the most stressful things you do, well to me every holiday is just like that!! - a mini house move! I'm a fly by the seat of my pants kind of gal. Granted, if it wasn't for the last minute so much wouldn't be done - but it always is!!!Whereas my other half has to plan meticulously, everything from the packing of the case to the journey there!! This is where tensions build. You simply cannot tell a child that we will stop at 2.5 hours into the journey where upon they will wee!!! It doesn't work!! I have a printed map of the journey from the internet, a road atlas and a sat nav!!!!!!! - "Better safe than sorry!" Grrrrrr Did I mention amongst all of this there will be 5 children (not all mine!!) asking " Are we there yet"? as we approach the end of our street!!!! So, anyone else suffer the pre-holiday stresses?

Oh, I sympathize, Glenda! Yes, the holidays and trips get so stressful! Whenever we vaca, we always allow ourselves time to unstress from the vacation before getting back to work. And, traveling with kids...... all I can say is, you must be a saint. And- are we there, yet! LOL! Have a wonderful holiday!

Travel and Holidays always seem to add stressors. Adding 5 children definately brings more challenges. Is this the trip to Bram Stoker's inspiration for Dracula? Try to relax and have a blast!
