Ok, I made up a banner for or fledgling site. What do you think? I can make it centered and get rid of the messages text. But, I want to get opinions first. Should I remove the text to the right and leave the banner centered? The logo is supposed to represent the fact that we support and welcome all facets of jewelry making. Whatever direction you come from, you found the right place. It also recognizes the emphasis on our muse, since this forum is supposed to be about creativity and inspiration. We also wanted to highlight the initials JMF as a nickname for the forum- much easier to type out, too. Admittedly, this was a quickie, but I think it represents our new home well. Thanks to Susan and Renate for the help. Any and all input welcome.

I like it! The direction theme along with the muse are excellent and speak to what we hope to be about. I think the banner should be centered although I do tend to be a symetrical person.
Well Done!

Yay! I'm glad you like it! I agree about the banner being centered. I did that first, and it looks good, but I didn't know if how others would feel about losing the message.

The banner really makes the forum aesthetically professional. I very much like this. Tela, you have worked hard and used your creativity to make this a very special front line of art for this forum. Centered would be nice.
Yeah!! Susan

I don't mind the banner off centre. Lets say it symbolizes our offbeat creativity and our desire to think outside the box and push the boundaries of conformity ect ect. Hey at least its horizontal Hurray, now we are legit! Good work, Tela!!!!

On second thought, I do like to know when I have a message and this makes it easily seen. I vote keep the messages in plain sight, so that we can communicate back and forth.
How can I give Karma points to someone. I want to give Karma to Tela for all her hard work.

Love the banner! Thank you Tela, for all the work you put into it. It was worth it! Susan, I don't know if you can see it, or if it is an admin-only feature. In the lower left corner of each message should be [exalt][smite]. If you hit exalt you give Karma. In any case, Tela has deserved it, so I gave her a point in your name.

I'm with Susan to keep the notification for PMs at the top. But it would be nice to place it somewhere else, f.e. under the banner.

Thanks everyone!!! ;D That karma will come in handy on this Monday Halloween morning.
I think it is decided that we will keep the message text. I am going to find a way to move it below the banner, if possible. If I can't find the code maybe I can write it. Ha! Ha! wish me luck on that one!

It was lovely to come back from holiday (I should add the sun wasn't really shining but I have wanted to use this smiley for some time and I thought next to the word 'holiday' was very appropriate!! ;D) to a banner - very cool!! I like it alot, the physical and the deeper meaning! Blue is good too apparently it's calming colour isn't it!! Well done and Thanks!!
