I'm so excited to find this wonderful new forum! May it be a successful, happy new home for us all to meet and share our passion for creation!
I have been making jewelry for about 10 years. I started out bead stringing, but soon fell totally in love with wire. I have a great little studio set up and work on jewelry as often as I am able. I don't have an Etsy store and haven't done too many shows yet, as it seems like my stuff sells before I ever have enough inventory to accomplish those goals. (Another way to look at it- I don't seem to work very fast, but my heart and soul are poured into every piece, so I suppose speed is hard for me to incorporate into my creative process. It does bother me at times that I work so slowly and deliberately.
I also have a gardening business. I have a few very wealthy customers who like having a perfectionist gardener. I feel so blessed to be able to do this work- it's my other passion in life. I feel most at peace when I am working outside in the soil and with the plants, as well as with wire in my studio. I have really worked hard to create a life of serenity and simplicity, and being able to do the things I love most is a huge contribution to that end, and very gratifying.
I have 2 great adult kids, 1 fun and wonderful husband, and 2 entertaining kitties, that keep me laughing with their antics.
My life is not perfect, as I have some troubling health problems, but I am kind of a Pollyanna- always trying to see the good in every person and situation.
I'm just very happy that you ladies created this forum. It's nice to have a place to start something fresh, new, and positive and be able to share our passion for wire, beads, crystals, rocks and jewelry!
