Hey everyone!! Just wanted to say I haven't won the lottery, and bought a one way ticket to some tropical island without technology I am still here!! ha ha My other half took a circular saw through his wrist (not all the way! thank fully!) So, he will be in theatre today (they only operate on very serious cases on weekends!!! - can you believe in this day and age where you can go out at 2am and buy a pint of milk that there are hardly any doctors in a hospital over a weekend!!! Let me be prime minister for a week id soon shake this country up!!) at some point and so I probably won't be around for a few days. In the absence of him I also have to oversee the delivery of a 27 foot caravan today - oh joy!!! ha ha ;D Tela and Renate - I didn't want you to think I had dissapeared!! I know you don't NEED me but I feel like I should be around to help get this thing going. (Not that you need my help at all, it's growing by the day. Anyway Im waffling!) Back soon! Glenda x

OMG! Glenda, that's horrible! Not only his terrible accident, but that you had to wait for a doctor. We've got that coming, too- but that's another story. Girl, I worry all the time that my husband will do such a thing with one of his tools. He actually got a screwdriver tip stuck through his big toenail once. I was so scared of infection. Nothing compared to what your husband did, though. Wow, that had to be traumatic! I hope he has a good recovery and you hang in there, too! (We did miss you, but I figured you were working hard on that new tute )

Sending you and your DH lots of healing thoughts today. That's really an awful thing to go through. My husband works with those tools every day, so it's always a concern. Our neighbor has cut off almost more fingers than he has- he's very scary. Unfortunately at my house, I'm the one who drills through my finger and other embarrassing mishaps.
Do take care- and I'm thinking you really are NEEDED here!

Oh Glenda, what an awful thing to happen. That must have been scary and terrible for the whole family. My best wishes for your husband, and his fast and complete recovery! I have missed you very much, Glenda, you are needed here! Hope things will return to routine for you and your family soon.

Not sure how respond to so many kind messages at once so I will do it individually!! Thank you Tela!! Don't they just think they know it all! He was using a circular WOOD saw to cut the trees back! Not a smooth blade either one of those ones that has raised bits at the ends! I have to say it scared the life out of me! I just heard a yell turned around and he was holding his wrist with blood everywhere! I honestly thought he had gone through everything!! It's strange, after having a car crash a few years back (the other car went through red!)I hate to drive fast However I managed to do 100mph on the way to the hospital and it still felt slow!! He had surgery yesterday and came home last night. They have said there was no sign of infection (which was there main concern, as he has diabetes and everthing takes longer to heal at the best of times) and they have stitched him up from the inside out! When I write a tut I do a little at a time so that I don't have to ignore everything else. I hate to think people might think I am ignoring them!!! I really appreciate your support. Bring on normality! ;D Glenda x OMG! Glenda, that's horrible! Not only his terrible accident, but that you had to wait for a doctor. We've got that coming, too- but that's another story. Thank you for your kind words Mya! For goodness sakes be careful with those tools! Really scared me, to the point of wondering if I really need to be using my torch any more! I guess if I take that stance I will never do anything so onwards and upwards! ;D I really appreciate your support! Glenda x Sending you and your DH lots of healing thoughts today. Glenda, So happy to hear he is home and the surgery went ok. What a relief. Be gentle with yourself as you have a lot going on! I will keep sending the positive energy and throw in a few prayers too!
